A Beacon of Hope and Transformation  

From the depths of personal trials to the heights of spiritual renewal, Pastor Chris Appleton's journey exemplifies a life dramatically transformed through faith. Today, as the shepherd of Living Word Maricopa, he extends the same message of hope, healing, and renewal to all who enter the sanctuary.

The Journey to Redemption  

In the late 1990s, Chris found himself struggling with addiction on the streets of central California. His life took a transformative turn when Pastor Ruben Reyna, founder of Living Word, offered a hand of compassion and mentorship. Through an intensive program led by Pastor Reyna, Chris was able to overcome his challenges and find a new path in Christ. "I haven't touched drugs or alcohol since 1997," he proudly shares. "The program worked for me."

A Calling to Serve  

Armed with ministry training and a calling to serve, Pastor Chris, along with his supportive wife Rosa and 6 wonderful children, were dispatched to Maricopa, Arizona, to start a ministry. Rosa’s commitment is equally powerful; she dedicates her nights from midnight to 3 AM praying for all the prayer needs that come to the ministry.

Living Word Maricopa is not just another church; it's a lifeline for the hurting and a beacon for those searching for direction. Our mission, "Reaching, Teaching, Mending, Sending," is the backbone of our ministry.  

"We teach the Word, mend hearts, and help send people into whatever destiny the Lord has for them," says Pastor Chris. "Our doors are open for anyone who is hurting, needs encouragement, or simply needs to be lifted up. How can we pray for you today? How can we be a blessing in prayer?"
